The 3 ounce rule

At the discretion of airport security personnel, these items may be allowed in carry-on luggage in amounts greater than 3 oz.
- Baby formula, breast milk, and juice.
- Prescription and over-the-counter medications (including KY jelly, eye drops, and saline solution).
- Water or liquid nutrition or gels that are required for passengers with a verified disability.
- Life-sustaining liquids such as bone marrow, blood products, and transplant organs.
- Items used to augment the body for medical or cosmetic reasons such as mastectomy products, prosthetic breasts, bras or shells containing gels, saline solution, or other liquids.
- Gels or liquids needed to cool medically related items used by persons with disabilities or medical conditions.
