Holiday Travel Tips - Driving to Grandma’s House
Many people take time off around the holidays and drive to their destination. There are some things that you need to do in order to have a safe and fun drive to grandma’s house.
Before going on a car trip you will want to make sure that your car is ready for the cold temperatures and the type of weather you might be driving in. You don’t want to find yourself on the side of the highway on Christmas Eve with car trouble. Check your brakes, battery, fluid levels, tire pressure, and light bulbs. You will want to make sure that you have a first-aid kit, flashlight, blankets, flares, jumper cables and an ice scraper.
If you are traveling with children, sing carols or talk about favorite past holidays. The ride will be over before you know it, and you’ll look forward to the drive back home.
