Here are some types of large luggage and what they include:

Hard-sided suitcases: Hard-sided suitcases are the most durable of suitcases. They usually feature wheels, locks, and pull straps for easy travel. The most common construction materials are molded plastic or aluminum.

Semi-soft suitcases: Lightweight semi-soft suitcases have an interior frame, but they expand more, allowing you to cram more in there if you’re not as concerned about the condition of the contents when you arrive at your destination. Most have wheels and straps for easy transport.

Soft-sided suitcases: The lightest form of larger suitcases, they are very expandable and usually have zippers closures and stiffeners, but no interior framework.

Uprights: Upright luggage is designed to stand on one end, making it easier to grab the handles and pull the suitcase. They very in size from 24″ to 33″ and usually have wheels and strong, recessed handles.

Spinners: Spinners can be upright luggage, garment bags, or pretty much any form of large luggage bag. They are designed with spinning wheels so they can be maneuvered in any direction with ease.
